The Yalari Story – educating and empowering Indigenous children

Reconciliation Queensland presents Yalari founder Waverley Stanley AM. Yalari is a not-for-profit organisation offering secondary education scholarships to leading Australian boarding schools for Indigenous children from regional, rural and remote communities. Now in its 14th year of operation, Yalari has 194 Indigenous children on scholarships in 26 partner schools across Australia. Join us for another RQI Speaker Series event on May 25 at Garden City Library, Mt Gravatt.

Before Kevin Rudd’s National Apology, Diane Fingleton made an Apology to Indigenous people from the bench. She was the first woman ever appointed to the position of Chief Magistrate of Queensland, and also Reconciliation Queensland’s most recent guest speaker.
