11–19 SEPTEMBER
CREMORNE THEATRE, QPAC Southbank
Bookings: qpac.com.au OR 136 246

Following on from 2012’s stand out production of Roger Bennet’s Up The Ladder, directed by Wesley Enoch and the sold out season of Jane Harrison’s Stolen in 2011 under the artistic direction of Leah Purcell, The Aboriginal Centre for the Performing Arts (ACPA) returns with the powerful new production Spirit of the Lore to examine the universal themes of initiation, isolation, leadership and survival.

Spirit of the Lore is a creative collaboration between the staff and students of ACPA and the inspired design of Jacqueline Schofield and explores the importance of initiation within community, the ensuing responsibilities and the danger of youth left to their own devices without the guidance of elders. Co-presented by QPAC in association with Brisbane Festival, Spirit of the Lore is a vibrant mix of Indigenous theatre, song and dance.
