Duncan Kerslake

Duncan Kerslake PSM is a Palawa man with over two decades of experience dedicated to
advancing opportunities for First Nations peoples. As Director of the First Nations Strategy
Unit at the Department of Transport and Main Roads, he leads structural change to embed
Indigenous perspectives in government.
His career includes leading the Advance Queensland Deadly Innovation Strategy and securing
significant economic outcomes during the 2018 Commonwealth Games. In 2023, he was
awarded the Public Service Medal for his profound contributions to Indigenous business and
economic empowerment, reflecting his commitment to active, systemic reconciliation.
