Reconciliation Queensland Inc. (RQI) is embarking on a significant new chapter, and we're looking for dedicated people to help guide our journey. As Queenslandâs peak body for reconciliation, RQI works toward a united Queensland that respects this land, values the heritage of our First Peoples, and strives for justice and equity for all.Â
Now is your chance to contribute to this vital mission by nominating for our Management Committee.
Your Opportunity to Lead Change
We're seeking passionate individuals from all backgrounds who are committed to advancing reconciliation across the state. The Management Committee is a diverse, multicultural body that welcomes both First Nations and non-First Nations members.
In this period of growth, we're particularly keen to expand the Committee with more emerging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leaders, while continuing to value all the diverse perspectives and lived experiences that strengthen our work.
You don't need prior board experienceâjust a willingness to contribute, collaborate, and uphold the values of RQI.

Key Nomination Details: Don't Miss the Deadline! đ
The most important thing to remember is the submission deadline:
Nominations must be submitted at least 14 days before the Annual General Meeting (AGM).
Please ensure your nomination is received by this date to be considered. Specific dates will be communicated to members in RQI's official AGM notices, so keep an eye on your inbox!
Eligibility at a Glance
To nominate for the Management Committee, candidates must meet the following eligibility requirements, in accordance with RQI's rules and the Associations Incorporation Act 1981 (Qld):
Age:Â You must be 18 years or older.
Legal Status:Â You must not be ineligible under section 61A of the Associations Incorporation Act 1981Â (Qld).
Membership:Â You must be an Ordinary (Individual) Member of RQI.
NOTE: Both the nominee and the person nominating them must be Ordinary (Individual) Members of RQI. If you aren't yet a member, you can easily become one here:
Important Insurance Information
In line with the Associations Incorporation Act 1981 (Qld), we wish to advise that RQI holds public liability insurance with coverage up to $20 million. This provides important protection for the organisation and its activities.
